The Journal of Medicinal Chemistry and Therapeutics (JMCT) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published by BioLuster Research Center Ltd. The journal publishes research in medicinal chemistry, drug discovery, computational drug design, pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, therapeutics, toxicology, natural and synthetic drug discovery, pharmaceutical sciences, and related biomedical disciplines.
Yes. Every submitted manuscript undergoes an initial editorial assessment followed by a single-blind peer-review process. Suitable manuscripts are evaluated by independent expert reviewers before a final editorial decision is made.
Yes. JMCT is a fully open-access journal. Published articles are freely accessible online without subscription or paywall restrictions, allowing researchers, clinicians, pharmaceutical scientists, and other readers to access and use the published research according to the journal's licensing policy.
JMCT is published annually. For the current publication cycle, Volume 2, Issue 1 covers January–December 2026. Articles may undergo the editorial and production process throughout the publication period and are formally assigned to the relevant issue upon publication.
All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's online submission system using Open Journal Systems (OJS). Authors should register or log in to their account, complete the submission metadata, and upload all required files according to the Author Guidelines. Email submissions are generally not accepted.
JMCT accepts Original Research Articles, Review Articles, Systematic Reviews, Meta-Analyses, Mini Reviews, Short Communications, Perspectives, Editorials, Letters to the Editor, and other scholarly contributions that fall within the journal's aims and scope.
JMCT welcomes research in medicinal chemistry, drug discovery and development, structure–activity relationship studies, computer-aided drug design, molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulations, virtual screening, QSAR, pharmacophore modeling, pharmacokinetics, ADME/ADMET, toxicology, pharmacology, therapeutic development, natural and synthetic compounds, pharmaceutical sciences, and related interdisciplinary fields.
All manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English. Authors are encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally edited if English is not their first language.
JMCT follows the APA 7th Edition referencing style. Authors should ensure that all in-text citations and reference lists comply with the journal's Author Guidelines. Authors are strongly encouraged to provide DOI information whenever available.
No. Manuscripts submitted to JMCT must be original and must not be under consideration by another journal at the time of submission. Simultaneous submission to multiple journals is not permitted.
Yes. Submitted manuscripts may be screened for originality and textual similarity before or during the editorial and peer-review process. Manuscripts containing plagiarism, substantial inappropriate text reuse, or duplicate publication may be rejected.
The duration of peer review varies depending on reviewer availability, manuscript complexity, subject area, and the need for additional evaluation. The Editorial Office makes every effort to process manuscripts efficiently while maintaining appropriate standards of scientific and editorial quality.
Suitable manuscripts are normally evaluated by at least two independent expert reviewers. The Editor may invite additional reviewers when necessary depending on the subject, methodology, or complexity of the manuscript.
Yes. Authors can log in to their OJS account to monitor the progress of their manuscript throughout the editorial and peer-review process. Authors should ensure that their registered email address remains active so that they can receive editorial communications.
No. JMCT currently does not charge authors any manuscript submission fee, peer-review fee, Article Processing Charge (APC), or publication fee. There are currently no hidden publication charges.
JMCT currently operates without Article Processing Charges (APCs). Therefore, authors are not required to apply for an APC waiver. The Publisher, BioLuster Research Center Ltd., currently covers the publication costs until further declaration. Any future changes to the publication-charge policy will be communicated through official journal announcements.
After acceptance, the manuscript enters the production stage, which may include copyediting, typesetting, proofreading, DOI registration, metadata verification, and final quality checks before publication.
Accepted articles receive a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) through Crossref during the publication process. The DOI provides a persistent identifier that facilitates long-term discovery, access, and citation of the published article.
Yes. Accepted manuscripts undergo the required editorial and production processes before being published online. Published articles are permanently available through the journal website according to the journal's open-access and archiving policies.

Molecular docking, drug-likeness, pharmacokinetics and toxicological profiling of bio-active phytochemicals from Sundarbans plants.
Key findings: Rutin, Amentoflavone, Procyanidin, Lutein, Asiatic Acid, Lupeol Caffeate and Ursolic Acid showed notable antioxidant activity and strong predicted binding potential. The study also evaluated pharmacokinetics, drug-likeness and toxicity profiles of the selected phytochemicals.
