Aim and Scope

The Journal of Medicinal Chemistry and Therapeutics (JMCT) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality scientific research in medicinal chemistry, drug discovery, computational drug development, pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, therapeutic research, and related pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences. Out of Scope

Manuscripts that fall outside the scientific scope of the journal or fail to meet the journal's standards of originality, scientific rigor, methodological quality, and ethical compliance may be declined without external peer review. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Studies unrelated to medicinal chemistry, drug discovery, therapeutics, pharmaceutical sciences, or closely related biomedical disciplines.
  • Manuscripts lacking a meaningful scientific question, research rationale, or contribution to the field.
  • Purely descriptive studies that provide insufficient scientific novelty, mechanistic insight, or therapeutic relevance.
  • Computational studies based solely on routine molecular docking or prediction without adequate methodological justification, validation, or meaningful interpretation.
  • Manuscripts with inadequate experimental design, inappropriate methodology, insufficient statistical analysis, or unsupported conclusions.
  • Studies involving humans or animals that lack appropriate ethical approval or fail to comply with applicable research ethics requirements.
  • Previously published, duplicate, redundant, or simultaneously submitted manuscripts.
  • Manuscripts containing plagiarism, fabricated or falsified data, inappropriate image manipulation, citation manipulation, or other forms of research misconduct.
