Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.


1. Manuscript Types (What You Can Submit)

We accept a wide range of manuscript types to encourage diverse scientific communication:

  • Research Articles – Full-length, original research that provides new insights into medicinal chemistry or therapeutics.

  • Review Articles – Comprehensive summaries of current knowledge in a specific field, useful for both experts and newcomers.

  • Mini Reviews – Short, focused reviews that highlight emerging trends or recent advances.

  • Editorials – Invited opinion pieces on current topics, trends, or special issues.

  • Communications – Brief reports of novel or time-sensitive research findings.

  • Case Reports – Detailed clinical cases with relevance to therapy or drug response.

  • Essays – Thoughtful explorations of topics such as research ethics, education, or scientific philosophy.


2. File Format (How to Prepare Your File)

  • Submit your manuscript as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx).

  • Your submission should include all parts of the manuscript: title, abstract, main text, tables, figures, references, and any other sections.

  • Use the Cambria font throughout:

    • Main text: Font size 9

    • References: Font size 8

  • Use a numbered format for headings and subheadings (e.g., 1. Introduction, 2. Methods, 2.1 Study Design).


3. Title Page (What to Include on the First Page)

Include the following information on the first page of your manuscript:

  • Title of the article – Clear, concise, and reflective of the content.

  • Full names of all authors.

  • Institutional affiliations – Department, university, or organization for each author.

  • Corresponding author – Clearly indicate who will be the main point of contact, including full postal address and email.


4. Abstract (Your Research Summary)

  • Provide a brief, non-structured abstract (no headings), (up to 250 words for Review and Research Articles, 150 words for Mini Review).

  • The abstract should summarize the goal, methods, key findings, and main conclusion of your study.

  • Avoid citations and abbreviations unless necessary.


5. Keywords (Search Terms for Indexing)

  • Include 2 to 5 keywords immediately after the abstract.

  • Choose terms that reflect the core ideas of your study and help others find your work in databases.


6. Article Structure (How to Organize Your Manuscript)

Please organize your manuscript into the following sections (where applicable):

  • Abstract – A short summary (up to 250 words for Review and Research Articles, 150 words for Mini Review)).

  • 1. Introduction – Background, rationale, and objectives of the study.

  • 2. Materials and Methods / Methodology – Describe all procedures, tools, and software used in detail so others can replicate the work.

  • 3. Results – Present your findings using text, tables, and figures. Use only essential data.

  • 4. Discussion – Interpret your results and compare them with existing research. Discuss limitations and implications.

  • 5. Conclusion – Highlight the key takeaway messages from your study.

Additional Sections (Required if Applicable):

  • Conflict of Interest – Declare any financial or personal interests that might affect your research.

  • Funding Information – List any grants or financial support.

  • Author Contributions – Clearly state who did what in the project.

  • Ethical Approval – Required for studies involving humans or animals. Include ethics committee approval info.

  • Data Availability Statement – Indicate whether and where your data can be accessed by readers or reviewers.


7. Tables and Figures (How to Present Your Data)

  • Embed tables and figures in the text at appropriate locations (not at the end).

  • Figures must be high-resolution and in one of these formats: TIFF, JPG, or PNG.

  • Use clear legends/captions for each figure and table.

  • Include footnotes for any abbreviations or specific notes.


8. Supplementary Materials (Extra Data or Files)

You are welcome to include supplementary files such as:

  • Raw data

  • Graphs or large images

  • Videos or animations

  • Software applications or scripts

These materials will be published online alongside the article and enhance its value for other researchers.


9. References (How to Cite Sources)

  • Use the APA (American Psychological Association) citation style.

  • Include DOI links where possible to help readers find the sources easily.

Citation Examples:

  • One author: (Smith, 2023)

  • Two authors: (Ahmed & Lee, 2022)

  • Three or more authors: (Rahman et al., 2021)

In the reference list:

Rahman, T., Karim, M., & Ali, S. (2021). Drug-target interaction analysis using molecular docking. Journal of Drug Design, 15(2), 123–134. https://doi.org/10.xxxxxx


10. Reviewer Suggestions (Help Us Review Faster)

To assist with the review process, the corresponding author must suggest at least two reviewers:

  • Include full names, affiliations, and email addresses.

  • Reviewers must be experts in your field but must not be from your own institution.

  • Submit this information in a separate PDF file along with your manuscript.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
