Pre-Submission Checklist for Authors
✓ Before You Submit
To facilitate a smooth editorial assessment and peer-review process, authors are encouraged to carefully review the checklist below before submitting their manuscripts. Ensuring compliance with the journal's submission requirements will help minimize unnecessary delays and improve the efficiency of manuscript processing.
Manuscript Preparation
- ☐ The manuscript is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration by another journal.
- ☐ The manuscript complies with the JPCI Author Guidelines.
- ☐ The manuscript is written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English.
- ☐ The title, abstract, and keywords accurately represent the content of the manuscript.
- ☐ All figures, tables, and supplementary materials are properly numbered, cited within the text, and submitted in high quality.
Ethical Compliance
- ☐ All authors have read, approved, and agreed to the submission of the manuscript.
- ☐ The order of authorship has been agreed upon by all authors.
- ☐ All potential conflicts of interest have been disclosed.
- ☐ Funding sources and acknowledgements have been provided where applicable.
- ☐ Ethical approval for research involving humans or animals has been obtained and clearly stated in the manuscript, where applicable.
- ☐ The study complies with the journal's Publication Ethics and Research Integrity policies.
Research Integrity
- ☐ All references are accurate and appropriately cited.
- ☐ The manuscript has been checked for plagiarism before submission.
- ☐ The submitted work contains no fabricated, falsified, or manipulated data.
- ☐ Any use of AI-assisted tools has been transparently disclosed in accordance with the journal's AI-Assisted Content Policy.
Submission Requirements
- ☐ The manuscript has been prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
- ☐ Author names, affiliations, email addresses, ORCID iDs (if available), abstract, keywords, and references have been correctly entered into the online submission system.
- ☐ The corresponding author's contact information is accurate and up to date.
- ☐ All supplementary files, datasets, graphical abstracts, or supporting materials (if applicable) have been uploaded.
Copyright & Publishing
- ☐ The authors agree to the journal's Open Access, Copyright, and Licensing policies.
- ☐ The authors understand that accepted articles will receive a permanent Crossref DOI.
- ☐ The corresponding author confirms that all information provided during submission is complete and accurate.
Author Declaration
By submitting a manuscript to the Journal of Phytochemical Insights (JPCI), the corresponding author confirms that all information provided is accurate, all listed authors have approved the submission, and the manuscript complies with the journal's editorial policies, publication ethics, and submission requirements.
Important Notice
Incomplete submissions or manuscripts that do not comply with the journal's formatting requirements, ethical standards, or editorial policies may be returned to the corresponding author for technical revision before entering the peer-review process.
