The Journal of Phytochemical Insights (JPCI) is committed to promoting the broad dissemination of scientific knowledge while protecting the intellectual property rights of authors. The journal follows an open-access publishing model in which authors retain copyright of their work and grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish, archive, index, and distribute the official version of the article.

The journal encourages the responsible sharing and reuse of published research in accordance with its licensing terms and internationally accepted principles of scholarly communication.

1. Copyright Ownership

Authors retain the copyright of their published articles. By submitting a manuscript and accepting publication in JPCI, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, archive, index, and distribute the article as the official version of record.

2. Creative Commons License

Unless otherwise stated, all articles published in JPCI are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License. This license permits users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, share, adapt, and build upon the published work for any lawful purpose, provided appropriate credit is given to the original authors and the journal.

3. Rights of Authors

Authors may:

• Share the published article through personal or institutional websites.
• Deposit the published version in institutional or subject repositories.
• Use the published work in books, theses, teaching materials, and future scholarly publications.
• Distribute the article for educational and research purposes with proper citation.

4. Rights of Readers

Readers may freely access, download, print, copy, distribute, and reuse published articles in accordance with the applicable Creative Commons license, provided appropriate attribution is given to the original authors and source.

5. Third-Party Materials

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce or adapt copyrighted material, including figures, tables, photographs, illustrations, or other content obtained from third-party sources. Appropriate acknowledgment and copyright notices must be included within the manuscript.

6. License to Publish

Upon acceptance, authors grant JPCI a non-exclusive License to Publish, allowing the journal to publish, preserve, index, distribute, and identify the article as the official published version while authors retain copyright ownership.

7. Reuse and Attribution

Any reuse of published material should provide appropriate attribution to the original authors, cite the Journal of Phytochemical Insights as the source of publication, include the article DOI where available, and indicate whether modifications have been made.

8. Policy Review and Updates

This Copyright & Licensing Policy is reviewed periodically to ensure continued compliance with international publishing standards and open-access best practices. The journal reserves the right to revise this policy when necessary. Updated versions become effective upon publication on the journal website unless otherwise stated.
