Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

1. Manuscript Types (What You Can Submit)

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  • Research Articles
Full-length, original research articles that present novel findings in any branch of chemistry (e.g., analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, materials chemistry, etc.).

  • Review Articles
Comprehensive reviews that synthesize existing knowledge on a specific topic. These should provide an overview of the field, discuss major developments, and highlight current challenges and future directions.

  • Mini Reviews
Shorter, focused reviews on emerging topics or recent developments in a specific area of chemistry.

  • Editorials
Editorial pieces, usually by invitation, that discuss current trends, issues, or perspectives on topics of interest to the chemistry community.

  • Communications
Brief, time-sensitive reports of novel findings or methods that are of immediate interest to the scientific community. These should present groundbreaking results that warrant rapid publication.

  • Case Reports
Reports of interesting, rare, or noteworthy occurrences in chemical processes, especially those with clinical, industrial, or practical significance.

  • Essays
Personal insights or opinion pieces discussing the broader implications of chemistry in society, education, or policy.

2. File Format (Preparing Your Document)

Your manuscript must be submitted as an editable Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) file. We accept no PDF files for manuscript submission, as we need editable documents for the peer review process.

  • The document should include all components: title, abstract, body text, tables, figures, references, and supplementary materials (if applicable).

  • Font: Use Cambria font throughout the manuscript.

    • Main Text: Font size 9

    • References: Font size 8

  • Use numbered headings and subheadings for clear structure. For example:

    • 1. Introduction

    • 2. Methods

    • 2.1 Materials

    • 2.2 Experimental Procedures

    • 3. Results

    • 4. Discussion

    • 5. Conclusion

3. Title Page (What You Need to Include)

The title page should be part of the main manuscript document and must include:

  • Title of the Article
Choose a clear and concise title that reflects the content of the study. Avoid unnecessary jargon and abbreviations.

  • Author Names
List all authors in the order of their contribution, along with their full names. Avoid using initials for first names.

  • Affiliations
Include institutional affiliations for all authors, such as university name, department, and country. If an author has multiple affiliations, list them all.

  • Corresponding Author
Provide the full name, institutional address, and email address of the corresponding author. This person will handle all communications with the journal and should be the primary point of contact.

4. Abstract (A Concise Summary of Your Work)

  • Provide a non-structured abstract (no section headers like "Background" or "Methods") of up to 200 words.

  • The abstract should clearly summarize the research objectives, methods used, main results, and conclusions of the study.

  • Avoid using references, abbreviations, or complex terminology unless absolutely necessary.

5. Keywords (Important for Indexing and Searchability)

After the abstract, provide 2 to 5 keywords.

  • Choose keywords that represent the core aspects of your research and are useful for searching in databases.

  • Use specific terms that relate to your study area (e.g., "organic synthesis," "quantum chemistry," "drug design," etc.).

6. Article Structure (How to Organize Your Manuscript)

Your manuscript must follow a clear, structured format. Below is the typical order:

  • Abstract
A brief summary (200 words max) that outlines the study’s background, methods, results, and conclusion.

  • Introduction
Provide the context of your research, describe the problem being addressed, and clearly state your research objectives and hypothesis. Briefly discuss prior work in the field and highlight the significance of your study.

  • Materials and Methods
Detail the chemicals, equipment, and techniques used to conduct your research. Be as specific as possible to allow for reproducibility by other researchers.

  • Results
Present your findings clearly and logically. Use appropriate tables, graphs, and figures to summarize your data.

  • Discussion
Interpret your results and discuss their implications in the broader context of the field. Compare your findings with previous work, address any limitations, and suggest areas for future research.

  • Conclusion
Provide a brief summary of the key findings and their relevance to the field. Avoid introducing new information or speculation here.

Additional Sections (Required if Applicable):

  • Conflict of Interest
Declare any potential conflicts of interest. If none exist, state: “The authors declare no conflict of interest.”

  • Funding Information
Acknowledge any funding sources (e.g., grants, fellowships, scholarships) and provide grant numbers if applicable.

  • Author Contributions
Detail the individual contributions of each author. For example: "Author A conducted the experiments; Author B analyzed the data; Author C wrote the manuscript."

  • Ethical Information
If your research involves human or animal subjects, provide details of ethical approval from the appropriate institutional review board.

  • Data Availability Statement
Indicate where the raw data or supplementary materials supporting your findings can be accessed (e.g., a public repository, supplementary files).

7. Tables and Figures (Visualizing Your Data)

  • Placement: Insert tables and figures within the manuscript text at the points where they are first referenced.

  • Format: Figures must be in TIFF, JPG, or PNG format with high resolution (at least 300 dpi).

  • Legends and Captions: Each table and figure must have a detailed legend. The legend should explain the content clearly without requiring the reader to refer to the text.

  • Footnotes: Include footnotes for any abbreviations used in tables or figures.

8. Supplementary Materials (Extra Files to Support Your Work)

  • Authors may submit supplementary files such as raw data, videos, large datasets, additional figures, or code that supports the findings of the manuscript.

  • Supplementary materials will be made available online alongside the article, ensuring transparency and reproducibility.

9. References (Proper Citation Style)

  • All references should follow the APA citation style.

  • DOI links: Where possible, please provide the DOI for each reference.

Examples of citations:

  • Single author: (Johnson, 2023)

  • Two authors: (Zhang & Lee, 2022)

  • Three or more authors: (Wang et al., 2021)

In the reference list:

10. Reviewer Suggestions (Help Us Speed Up the Process)

To assist in the peer-review process, the corresponding author must suggest at least two experts in the field of study. These reviewers should be:

  • Experienced and knowledgeable in the subject of your manuscript.

  • Not affiliated with the same institution as any author on the manuscript.

Submit a separate PDF file with the names, affiliations, and email addresses of the suggested reviewers.
